"Ummah Center Project Plan"

PHASE I

Purchase the two lots adjacent to Masjid Taqwa. One lot Purchased (Sept 07) The other lot is in litigation and can not be sold yet.

Purchased lot cleaned and all debris removed. Trees, schrubs, and trash removed to clear the view to Masjid Taqwa. Adjacent properties will be cleaned and lawns cut to keep the whole area presentable.

PHASE II

Demolish the condemned house on one of the two lots. The old house is not functional and interferes with the long-term use of the lots. Has to wait until all legal issues are resolved, then we can make an offer.

Clean up and landscape the lots for immediate use by the Ummah for parking and as a park /recreational area.  Clean up has been done for the corner lot that was purchased. (Oct 07)

PHASE III

Secure the lots by installing a rod iron fence around these two lots and the connected lot already purchased by Masjid Taqwa. This will not only make the whole area safe for parking and use by the Ummah, it will add value and enhance the overall look of the lots and future facilities. This will be done as soon as the 2nd lot becomes available and is purchased.

PHASE IV

Parts of this phase can and will be done throughout the whole of the project. We will begin with getting the initial architectural drawings. This will allow us to address the possible zoning, city, and county issues for this type of proposed project.
We plan to get preliminary drawings done in 2008, to show the tentative layout of the Center.
