The Masjid At-Taqwa community was established in 1985 and is located at 710 N. Broadway Street, Dayton, Ohio. The Masjid’s overall purpose is to establish a Muslim community that serves the best interest of Islam by establishing outreach services for the entire community.

The community has the opportunity to secure land adjacent to Masjid for the purpose of establishing a Community Development / Empowerment Center on the corner of Broadway and Riverview.

Masjid Taqwa currently owns two lots, one on Riverside and the other on Broadway. We propose to purchase two additional lots (one on each side of the vacant house) that would give the Ummah the whole corner of Riverside and Broadway.

To-date, we have raised $27,500 to begin the project which is estimated to cost well over $300,000. With the current money raised we have purchase one of the two lots (the lot on the right side of the vacant house) and have done a major clean-up of the property. We want to thank the people who gave their time to help clean-up the purchased lot.

Establishing this facility will allow the us to expand our current capabilities and serve the following:
